Another Meme...
I tried posting this yesterday, but when I copied my results they automatically turned into hyperlinks (annoying) and when they posted, they were spaced out really funky (also annoying.) I was too tired to mess with it, but anyway, here it is now, my list of careers that are supposed to suit me. Most interesting to me was the dramatic change that occurred to the list when I added the extra "filter" I guess, of level of schooling, in my case university. Pipefitter fell off the list. Artist was added. Artist? I just thought it was interesting that they felt more schooling somehow makes you more qualified as an artist. I mean, I sorta get it, but mostly not. I should've saved the first list, because in many ways, it was more interesting. Anyway...

By the way would you mind decoding a euphemism for me?
In the movie CLOSER Jude Law tells the stripper girl that she is "disarming" and she says that it is not a euphemism, but he disagrees.
That has always bothered me. what is your opinion. And sorry about the movie reference but it really does bug me.

And none of these job descriptions really works for me. Hopefully I'll win the lottery, since the future is looking rather grim. cheese
Yeah, I agree with you about zoos. They are sad. Seems like you have a lot of very people-oriented jobs on there. Psychologist, humanitarian aid worker!, gerontologist...seems to go with your current work a but eh?
It's pretty neato that a few people decided to do this meme and post their results! Yeah, I don't know that I agree it's entirely accurate, but interesting nontheless, esp. if you're like me and looking for new work.
cheese - re: Jude law's "euphemism" - ok, well, I've never seen the movie, so I don't know what kind of relationship he has with the stripper, but assuming he's talking to her in the context of her being, well, a stripper gal - and also assuming that he's tells her directly that he was being euphemistic - I don't know, I guess I would assume he meant something like he was trying to impart meaning to an otherwise (typically) meaningless relationship. Unless I'm reading what you wrote wrong. It does seem confusing, and I'm sure it would annoy me as well. Is the movie any good? Maybe I will have to rent it to give a better opinion!
dm: yes, a zoo is so damned sad. To me they represent so many horrible things symbolically, culturally, historically. But my list - yeah, some of it fits. Thanks for the original meme!
thank you all for checking in!
You should watch the movie in that case and then tell me what you think, and yes you would probably like it. If you like movies about utterly unredeemable characters in complex situations. Not a happy movie. But a good twist towards the end.... last scene: pay attention.
thanks for the reply nonetheless.
